Choose privacy project by project
A creative portfolio rarely has one visibility rule for every piece. Some projects are ready for anyone to see. Others are useful in a pitch or review but should not sit in the public feed. Werkset makes that choice at the project level.
Public projects appear on your profile. A private-link project stays off the public portfolio but remains available through its direct URL. A password-protected project also stays off the profile and asks the visitor for a password before showing the work. Hidden projects remain available only to you in the dashboard.
- Public for your main portfolio feed
- Private link for selected recipients
- Password protected for an added access step
- Hidden for owner-only dashboard access

Send the right project to the right person
Private project sharing works well when a broad public reel is not enough. You can send a focused piece to a prospective client, share a work-in-progress with a collaborator, or give a reviewer access to work that is not part of your main portfolio.
The project can still carry the useful context around the media, including its title, description, client, your role, and collaborator credits. The recipient sees the specific work you chose instead of navigating an unrelated folder or a crowded public feed.
- Focused client or collaborator review
- Project details next to the media
- A direct URL for each shared project
- Visibility changes from the project settings
03 · Permission
Share with permission
Privacy controls manage access. The project owner still confirms client and collaborator permission.
Werkset interface preview · Mock data
Privacy controls support judgment. They do not replace it.
A private link can be forwarded, and a password can be shared. Neither setting changes who owns the work or whether you have permission to publish it. Werkset provides access controls, not legal clearance or digital rights management.
Before sharing unreleased, client-restricted, or NDA-covered material, confirm the agreement and the intended audience. Use Hidden when a project should remain owner-only, and remove access when a private share is no longer appropriate.
- Confirm client and collaborator permission
- Treat links and passwords as shareable credentials
- Use Hidden for work that should not leave your account
- Review visibility before sending a project
Questions
Good to know
Do private projects appear on my public portfolio?
No. Private-link and password-protected projects stay off your public portfolio feed. Hidden projects are visible only to you in the dashboard.
What is the difference between a private link and password protection?
A private-link project is available to anyone who has its direct URL. A password-protected project requires both the project URL and the correct password before its content is shown.
Are private links and password protection included on Free?
No. Private linked projects and password-protected projects are Premium features. Hidden projects are available for work that should remain visible only in your dashboard.
Does a password make a project safe for NDA work?
Not by itself. Password protection adds an access step, but it does not replace the terms of an NDA, client permission, or a secure review process required by your agreement.
